Whether it is helping to ease the anxiety piling on after an arrest or pushing back against a landlord who assumed their tenant would simply tuck tail and run, I pride myself on protecting every last one of my clients' rights.  I would much rather spend my time arguing in a courtroom than completing paperwork to wrap up a case, but I do whatever is necessary to advocate for each and every client.  

I am an Iowa native and that may contribute to my desire to stand up to protect people against powerful entities and people who abuse their authority. When we aren't getting confused with Ohio or Idaho, we are getting underestimated and overlooked.  The same thing happens to individuals who find themselves involved in the court system.  I plan on remaining in NE Iowa for the foreseeable future and have made my practice completely mobile. It has streamlined my practice and means I have more time to spend working on cases than dealing with pains of being tied to an office building.
