After spending nearly a decade as a prosecutor for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, Pat Carey opened his own crimimal defense practice in 2014 out of Torrance, California serving state and federal criminal defendants. While based in Los Angeles county in Southern California, Attorney Pat Carey has experience in a wide range of cases nationwide.

Pat Carey is a California Board Certified Criminal Law Specialist and has been honored as a Top 100 National Trial Lawyer multiple years running.  As a Criminal Law specialist, he is in an elite group with less than 1% of lawyers in California.  With a vast experience of over 60 criminal jury trials as a prosecutor ranging from DUIs, domestic violence, and murder cases,  Pat also handled 75 juvenile adjucation trials in juvenile court in Los Angeles County.  Pat further has extensive experience conducting over 1,600 felony preliminary hearings.
