Biography
Patrick concentrates his practice in litigation of plaintiffs' personal injury. He received his law degree, cum laude, from Indiana University in 1981 and his undergraduate degree from Ball State University, summa cum laude, in 1978. He was admitted to the Indiana Bar in 1981. Elward has routinely handled personal injury cases throughout his law career. Patrick provided co-counsel in a high-profile, injury case involving a paralyzed six-year-old girl against an amusement park (Hunt v. Old Indiana). In addition to handling paralysis cases, he has successfully prosecuted plaintiff personal injury claims for brain injuries, severe burn injuries, serious orthopedic injuries and wrgonful death claims. Elward is also a published commentator, having co-authored, Discovery of Experts and Destructive Testing, Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum, Practice Skills Book, 1981.
