Patrick A. Salvi II joined Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. in 2007 and became Managing Partner of the firm’s Chicago office in 2017. His legal practice focuses on personal injury, medical malpractice, mass torts, and product liability cases.

During his tenure with the firm, Mr. Salvi has recovered more than $1 billion on behalf of his clients.

Mr. Salvi served as lead attorney in a landmark case that resulted in a $363 million jury verdict for a woman who developed breast cancer after exposure to toxic emissions from a medical device sterilization plant in Willowbrook. At the time, it was the largest jury verdict ever awarded to an individual plaintiff in Illinois. Mr. Salvi also served as the lead negotiator for a global settlement of $456 million for nearly 900 additional plaintiffs with similar claims.

In 2017, Mr. Salvi and his trial team secured a record-setting $148 million jury verdict for a dancer paralyzed by a collapsed pedestrian shelter at O’Hare International Airport. This remains the largest compensatory verdict awarded to an individual plaintiff in Illinois.

In recognition of his exceptional legal work, Mr. Salvi was named Chicago Lawyer Magazine’s 2023 “Person of the Year,” an award honoring legal leaders and newsmakers.

In 2024, Mr. Salvi was selected to join the Inner Circle of Advocates, an elite, invitation-only organization of 100 top trial lawyers nationwide, recognized for securing multi-million dollar verdicts and advocating for victims’ rights. He served as President of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association from 2022 to 2023 and continues as co-chair of its publications committee. Mr. Salvi also co-authored the “Informed Consent” chapter in the Medical Malpractice Trial Notebook. In addition, he serves on the Board of Governors of the American Association for Justice (AAJ) and the AAJ PAC Board of Trustees. He was named to the 2024 Law 360 advisory board for Illinois. Mr. Salvi has also judged trial competitions for the American Bar Association (ABA) and AAJ, as well as Moot Court competitions for the ABA. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Lake County Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association’s Tort Law Committee.

Mr. Salvi is a board member of Legal Aid Chicago, which provides free legal services to impoverished people. He has also spoken at Kellogg School of Management’s MBA business law class and at Notre Dame Law School’s “Personal Injury Litigation” class.

Mr. Salvi earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado and his law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School, where he received an award for excellence in trial advocacy from the International Academy of Trial Lawyers.

Mr. Salvi enjoys spending time with his wife and three children outside the courtroom. He loves cheering them on at their sporting events, traveling, watching movies, playing guitar while his kids sing, and simply enjoying time together, whatever they may be doing.
