Paul J. McMahon created the law firm of McMahon Legal Services, LLC to help people during what can be the most stressful time of their life. His philosophy and belief are that the law and lawyers should be there to help others at their greatest time in need with compassion and understanding. He began his career mastering the criminal aspect of law from both the prosecution side and defense side with his internship at the St. Louis County Prosecutor’s Office and later as an assistant public defender at the Missouri State Public Defender’s Office, and during that time, he handled several thousand criminal law matters from simply pleas to complex felony trials.

Since then, Mr. McMahon has represented hundreds of individuals with a variety of legal needs from the simple traffic ticket to the contested divorce trial. He has successfully tried over a dozen criminal and family law cases involving arsons, assaults, divorces, DWI/DUI, guardianships, landlord/tenant and restraining orders. His wealth of experience has given him the knowledge and understanding that is necessary to fully represent clients to achieve the best results.

Mr. McMahon received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from University of Missouri-Columbia in 1994. He subsequently worked in retail management for numerous sporting goods stores before entering Thomas Cooley Law School in 2000. He received his Juris Doctorate in May of 2003 and began an internship for the St. Louis County Prosecutor’s Office shortly before graduation.
