Mr. Roitshtein has experience in property and debt division, spousal support (also known as "alimony"), the support and custody of children, and family offenses (also known as "orders of protection"). He also has experience in hidden income, high asset, and high net worth matters. To minimize unnecessary conflict, agreements are encouraged where possible.

CRIMINAL MATTERS

Mr. Roitshtein also represents clients in all forms of criminal matters, including misdemeanor, felony, and violation cases. He represents clients from arraignment through trial. Most cases are settled without trial, others call for aggressive litigation from the outset. Serious cases may present the possibility of incarceration. No two matters are alike and Mr. Roitshtein encourages a tailored approach, counseling clients on all of their options.

BACKGROUND

Before opening his own practice, Mr. Roitshtein represented clients in a wide array of divorce, family, and criminal matters as an associate attorney at Richardson Legal PLLC, a boutique New York City matrimonial and criminal practice led by Morghan Leia Richardson, Esq. While there Mr. Roitshtein handled numerous cases through trial.

Mr. Roitshtein also previously served as judicial law clerk to the Hon. Paul M. DePascale, Judge of the Criminal Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey. While there he researched criminal law and drafted advisory memoranda for the Court.

Mr. Roitshtein is a graduate of Georgetown University and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. In law school he received the award for academic excellence in criminal law.
