Biography
Peter Swarth has been a criminal defense attorney for over 25 years with extensive trial experience in Federal, State and Juvenile Court for both misdemeanors and felonies. He is certified, by the State Bar of California, as a Specialist in Criminal Law. He specializes in DUI and DWI defense, and has experience in holding police accountable. He is passionate about the law and defends his clients with equal amounts of concern and guaranteeing their rights under the law. He is steadfast in his belief that everyone has the right to an aggressive defense and to have a fair hearing, and will rigorously defend you against criminal charges.
A graduate of UCLA and Loyola Law School, Attorney Peter Swarth was admitted to the California State Bar in 1989. He is a certified specialist in criminal law defending the rights of the accused. Los Angeles Defense Lawyer Peter Swarth has also distinguished himself in the field of Criminal Law and Trial Skills, having taught this area of practice for 15 years at the University of West Los Angeles Law and Glendale College of Law. He has also been a guest lecturer at UCLA presenting Psychology and the Law. He has been a frequent lecturer at Public Defender Conferences on the subjects of Infant Homicide, Drug Rehabilitation and the Law, and Learning Disabilities and the Law. And Peter Swarth has been published in the Hastings Comm/Ent (Communications / Entertainment) Law Journal. He is active in the Los Angeles County Bar Association as Chairman of the IPEL section.
