Upon graduating from Brooklyn Law School, cum laude, in 2004, Mr. Saghir immediately began working for the firm. He performs all aspects of the litigation of catastrophic personal injury and medical malpractice cases from the pre-trial phase up to, and including, trial.

Mr. Saghir's trial advocacy skills have flourished under the tutelage of our firm’s senior partners, in particular, our Managing Partner Ben B. Rubinowitz. In fact, Peter has assisted Mr. Rubinowitz at trials in which several outstanding results were achieved for our clients, including a verdict of $27.5 million dollars against the New York City Transit Authority in a case involving a pedestrian whose leg was amputated above the knee after she was struck and run over by a bus. He has also assisted Mr. Rubinowitz in the trial of a complex case against the City of New York and a construction company where the defendants carelessly and negligently failed to warn traffic on the West Side Highway of a construction site resulting in catastrophic injuries to a husband and father, who the defendants claimed was solely responsible for his accident. Following a lengthy and hotly contested trial, a Manhattan jury found the plaintiff completely free of fault and awarded him $7,125,000 in total compensation.  Most recently, Peter assisted Mr. Rubinowitz at trial in obtaining a multi-million verdict for a bicyclist who suffered degloving injuries to her leg after she was struck and dragged by a bus. Peter has also been instrumental in readying cases for trial.  One such case, involving an 80 year old woman who suffered crush injuries to her feet, was recently settled by Mr. Rubinowitz with the New York City Transit Authority for $6,500,000.  Mr. Saghir has incorporated these experiences into his own skills which allowed him to successfully begin the trial of a dog bite case in Suffolk County that settled during the trial and resulted in a substantial settlement for a young boy disfigured in the attack. Mr. Saghir is humbled to be able to represent people who often come to him at one of the most difficult times in their lives. He is honored to be able to meet them at their point of need to secure for them full and fair compensation for their injuries. Mr. Saghir's litigation skills have been instrumental in obtaining numerous settlements in excess of $1,000,000. His additional responsibilities at the firm include taking defendants' depositions, defending plaintiffs, arguing significant motions and attending court settlement conferences. Mr. Saghir has lectured at Cardozo Law School in their Advanced Trial Advocacy class. He has been selected to the 2014 New York Super Lawyers Rising Stars list.
