Peter M. Potente, founder of POTENTE, A PROFESSIONAL LAW CORPORATION, currently serves as its CEO and Managing Partner. Mr. Potente’s legal areas of focus include entity selection and formation, corporate governance issues, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate development. His clients range from start-ups to mature companies with an international presence. Mr. Potente also assists his clients with succession planning for their businesses and personal estates.

Mr. Potente divides his time between the firm’s headquarters in San Diego and managing the Palm Springs office, which serves the Coachella Valley and neighboring communities. He actively travels to meet with clients throughout the United States and internationally.

Mr. Potente previously served as a Deputy City Attorney for Rancho Mirage and Cathedral City with the law firm Green, de Bortnowsky & Quintanilla.

A very proud component of Mr. Potente’s practice area pertains to the representation and formation of non-profit corporations.  Mr. Potente serves as an advisor and Board member to several non-profit entities. One of his most noteworthy endeavors is his involvement with The Meyrow Foundation—a foundation whose sole purpose is to raise money and awareness for individuals and families afflicted by Parkinson’s disease.

Mr. Potente received his undergraduate degree in Finance and Spanish (minor) from The Ohio State University and obtained his Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law in San Diego.

Mr. Potente is an avid runner, hiker, music aficionado, and enjoys being outside as much as possible—especially in the California desert.
