I am a seasoned trial lawyer with the experience and skill to handly almost any litigated claim.  I have tried in excess of 140 jury cases in my carreer, covering a wide aray of areas, and I have had excellent results for my clients. Thousands of other cases that have crossed my desk have been resolved --most by settlement-- to my clients' satisfaction.  I have represented both Fortune 100 companies and individuals, clients both extremely wealthy and very poor. All, I hope, were treated with the same respect.

My current client list includes both large corporate and private clients on a wide range of matters. 

I was born in Texas, raised in Latin America, and, after service in the Army as a sargeant in the Viet Nam war, went to college and graduate school in my home state, where I eventually graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 1976. I immediately began my law practice with a small, highly regarded litigation firm in Galveston, was made a partner in 3 years. I was trained by excellent lawyers of the old school. I left that firm in 1992, and formed a small firm, the successor of which, Werner Ayers, is the current firm.

I was trained and believe that the law is a service profession, and I hold to the antique notions that lawyers must be fiercely loyal and serve our clients, that we must be civil to all and respectful to the courts, honor  the traditions and rules which govern our jury system, and that we should always do  good work for a fair price.
