Before establishing Benson Allred Injury Law, Porter gained invaluable experience over twelve years at two of Nevada's largest personal injury law firms. From the moment he received his license, he has been steadfastly fighting for his clients both in and out of the courtroom, achieving successful resolutions for thousands of cases and securing millions of dollars in compensation.

Originally hailing from Salt Lake City, Utah, Porter's academic journey led him to Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Russian in 2002. He continued his education at Syracuse University College of Law in Syracuse, New York, earning his Juris Doctorate degree in 2007. Following his education, he relocated to Las Vegas to embark on his legal career. Porter is a member of the State Bar of Nevada and holds licenses to practice in all state and federal courts in Nevada, as well as in Utah and Oregon.
