Rafael “Ace” Shinn Climaco is admitted to practice law in California, the United States Federal Court Northern District of California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.  His main areas of practice are immigration law and bankruptcy. 

Super Lawyers magazine named Ace to its 2012, 2013, and 2014 Rising Stars list for Northern California. 

He is an adjunct professor at John F. Kennedy University, in the College of Undergraduate Studies, where he teaches Immigration Law. 

Ace was President of the Filipino Bar Association of Northern California (FBANC) from 2008-2009, after serving as Secretary for two years, and is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.  For his legal work in the community, he was awarded the Minority Bar Coalition's Unity Award in 2009, and has been honored by the California State Assembly and the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.   

Ace received his B.A. from UCLA and his Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law. 

He is fluent in Spanish and proficient in Tagalog.
