Prior to founding Flaherty Hennessy LLP, Ms. Flaherty spent more than six years as a litigator at a prominent class action and civil litigation firm in Santa Monica, California where she represented clients in complex construction defect cases. During that time, Ms. Flaherty resolved hundreds of cases through settlement or trial resulting in approximately $30,000,000 dollars in settlements.

In addition to complex construction defect litigation, Ms. Flaherty's practice also revolved around consumer protection litigation. These claims arose in both state and federal courts alleging violations of California's consumer protection statutes - the Unfair Competition Law, the False Advertising Act, and the Consumer Legal Remedies Act.  Specifically these cases involved allegations of unlawful or fraudulent business practices, product liability, and false and deceptive advertising practices. There she discovered her passion for holding corporate wrongdoers accountable and affecting positive change for consumers through the legal system.
