Biography

My father came to the United State from Pakistan to attend The Ohio State University and insisted that my brother and I do the same. I was raised in Central Ohio, attended Columbus Public Schools and have always lived in Columbus. Growing up as the child of an immigrant, I have always been aware of the stress and daily struggles associated with language barriers, concerns for safety and feeling like you don't fit in. This experience has made me a better listener, drives me to try to understand all points of view, and fuels my passion for ensuring that everyone is treated fairly.
