Raised in Georgia and Alabama;
Attended the University of Alabama, 1968-72;
Graduated from Vanderbilt University, B.A. Economics, Political Science, Magna Cum Laude, 1972;
University of Texas School of Law: 1974-77;
Legal Aid Society of Travis County, 1977-78 (VISTA Attorney);
Bexar County Legal Aid Association, 1978-85 (Managing Attorney, 1982-85);
Law Office of James O. Deegear, III, 1985-87;
Established the Law Offices of Ray Leach, 1987 -- present;
Board Certified, Civil Trial Law, Texas Board of Legal Specialization, since 1988;
Married for 30 years to a San Antonio native, with two children: a wife who is an artist and former college instructor; a daughter who is a professional writer; and, a son who is finishing a degree in Finance;
