Biography
My practice includes business litigation, wrongful death/personal injury, and criminal defense. I also have experience in matters relating to federal and state firearms laws and regulations.
Before becoming a lawyer, I worked hands on in the construction industry and managed a farm in Monkton, Maryland. That background has proved invaluable when representing clients in matters involving construction defect claims or mechanical failures.
I graduated from Johns Hopkins University, where I majored in International Relations and Latin American Studies. I have lived throughout Central and South America and speak Spanish fluently. While in law school, I was a volunteer translator for the University of Baltimore Family Law Clinic. I have also been able to put my Spanish to good use representing domestic violence victims pro bono for the House of Ruth.
pro bonoAs an intern for the Honorable Paul W. Grimm, Chief Magistrate Judge (now District Court Judge) of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, I worked on matters relating to spoliation and other discovery violations. I am also proud to be an occasional guest speaker for the Spanish and Latin American section of the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Johns Hopkins University.
