Trial attorneys resolve disputes. Robert Guinness counts himself as one of the trial attorneys. Over the past 30+ years, Robert Guinness has represented clients in a wide range of practice areas, including construction litigation, civil litigation, real estate, business formation, employment law, and municipal law. This variety of disciplines gives him unique insights into solving his clients' problems from many different perspectives.
He has written educational materials for other lawyers, including an authoritative work on Mechanics Liens in Missouri. Mr. Guinness serves as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association's Construction Industry Panel. He is also a member of the American Bar Association's Forum on the Construction Industry.
Mr. Guinness represents clients in the state and federal courts of both Missouri and Illinois. He has argued appellate cases in the Missouri Supreme Court, Missouri Court of Appeals, and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Seventh and Eighth Circuits. He served as a legal assistant (law clerk) to a Circuit Judge of the United States Courts of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and also to a United States District Court Judge for the Eastern District of Missouri.
