Biography
Before opening his own doors, Robert worked for both large and small firms in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, and has represented Fortune 500 companies such as Intel, individual homeowners, and everything in between.
Robert Kern has taken an active role in the Nevada Foreclosure Mediation program from its inception, from testifying at the Supreme Court hearings for drafting the Mediation Rules, to working to amend the rules to make Foreclosure Mediation a stronger program. Robert has significant experience in both representing clients in mediation and in fighting for sanctions from the court when the lenders fail to cooperate in the process.
More recently, Robert has been invited to join the Nevada Responsible Lending Coalition, a coalition of organizations working to protect the rights of borrowers and consumers in Nevada, and Was invited to represent southern Nevada in the 2012 White House Housing Summit, in which community leaders met with White House staff to inform future policy to improve the government's response to the housing crisis.
In his pro bono work, Robert works with the Children's Attorney Project (CAP) run by the Legal Aid Society of Southern Nevada, in which he represents foster children in court proceedings, and also works on the Young Lawyers Division Goldilocks Project, which teaches elementary school students about how the laws and courts operate.
