You need a safe place to go for answers where you won’t be personally judged.  If you are shopping for a lawyer, you may notice that many lawyer’s sites have pages of information about the law for you to sift through.  It is my belief that you are seeking a lawyer that will be able to explain the relevant law to your situation personally.  I do not find it helpful to produce pages of material for a potential client to click through in order to make myself look knowledgeable.   After 37 years of practice, I have found that providing a mountain of material to a client is likely to cause stress or even fear—producing thoughts such as:  Do I need to know this?  Is it applicable to my case?  I believe that is the lawyer’s job—not the client’s job!
