Advice and Training: Advise clients regarding day-to-day employment matters, including hiring, evaluating performance, managing leaves of absence, wage and hour compliance, and disciplining and terminating employees. Assess employment claims and litigation, analyze risk, and recommend strategies to minimize risk.

Litigation: Recent successes include the plaintiff’s dismissal of a fraud and race/national origin discrimination case following the first day of a jury trial (Monterey County Superior Court, July 2007), and a defense verdict in an overtime claim following a three-day court trial (Santa Clara County Superior Court – trial October 2006; judgment December 2006; upheld on appeal April 2008).
