Biography
Sara E. Kitaeff was admitted to the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts in November 2011 and to the U.S. Federal District Court of Massachusetts in March 2012.
Attorney Kitaeff is an attorney at Witmer, Karp, Warner & Ryan LLP in Boston and concentrates her practice in the areas of family law, including pre and post-nuptial agreements, divorce, paternity matters, child support, custody and modification and contempts. She is a Category F Guardian ad Litem and accepts court-appointed and private GAL cases, with a focus on custody and parenting plan disputes. Most of her practices specializes in high net-worth and high-conflict divorce and child custody matters. Prior to joining Witmer, Karp, Warner & Ryan, Ms. Kitaeff practiced family law and bankruptcy in smaller firms throughout greater Boston. She was a Judicial Intern in the Middlesex Probate and Family Court and the Superior Court.
Attorney Kitaeff is a graduate of Boston University (B.A. 2006) and received her law degree from Suffolk University (J.D., 2011). While attending Suffolk Law, Ms. Kitaeff was the recipient of the Jurisprudence Award for Excellence in Evidence and was a Research Assistant for Distinguished Professor and Judge, the late John E. Fenton.
Attorney Kitaeff is a member of the Greater Boston Family Law American Inn of Court, American Bar Association, Boston Bar Association and Women’s Bar Association. She has published MCLE articles related to Alimony and the MUPC and also serves on the board of a local non-profit, On With Living and Learning (OWLL), a grassroots collective committed to bringing about racial and social justice through art.
