Biography
Sara Stanton Berg was born and raised in Big Rapids, Michigan and earned her undergraduate degree in Secondary Education from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where she also participated in Women’s Varsity Cross Country and Track. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Montana in Missoula in 2000, and has practicing at BKBH since that time.
Ms. Berg is rated “AV Preeminent” by her peers according to Martindale Hubbell and is listed as a “future star” by Benchmark Litigation and a “Rising Star” by SuperLawyers magazine in 2014. In 2014, Ms. Berg was selected by The American Society of Legal Advocates as one of the top forty litigators in Montana under the age of 40.
Sara is a member of the Montana Bar, as well as the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel and the Montana Defense Trial Lawyers. She is admitted to practice in Montana State and Supreme Courts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. Ms. Berg’s primary practice areas include General Litigation, Medical Malpractice Defense, and FELA Defense.
Sara is located in BKBH’s main office in Helena, Montana and has three children: Kate, Will and John.
