Scott D. Lane is a partner of The Law Offices of Lane & Lane, LLC, a Chicago-based plaintiff's personal injury firm which specializes in the fields of medical negligence, motor vehicle accidents, premises and product liability, and related areas involving serious personal injury and wrongful death.  

Prior to joining his father and brother at Lane & Lane, LLC, Mr. Lane was a Cook County Assistant State's Attorney for several years.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree, Cum Laude, in 1984 from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.  In 1988, Mr. Lane received his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law, where he served as a member of the Law Review and Trial Team.  For his accomplishments on the Trial Team, Mr. Lane received the American College of Trial Lawyers Medal for Excellence in Advocacy. 

Mr. Lane frequently lectures at bar association seminars on topics pertaining to civil litigation.  Additionally, Mr. Lane is co-director and on the faculty of the Illinois State Bar Association Trial Technique Institute.  Mr. Lane is also an adjunct professor at the Loyola University of Chicago School of Law where he has also coached Loyola's Trial Team.   

Mr. Lane is an active member of the Chicago Bar Association, Decalogue Society of Lawyers, Illinois State Bar Association, American Bar Association, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association; American Association for Justice (fka “ATLA”), American College of Legal Medicine, and the International Society of Primerus.

Scott Lane is admitted to the following bars: Illinois (1988); United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois(1989); and United States Supreme Court (1995).
