Shane is a partner with Black, Hedin, Ballard, McDonald, in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.  His practice focuses in the areas of personal injury, civil litigation, and municipal and governmental defense in trial and appellate courts.  Shane was a law journal articles editor when he attended Southern Illinois University School of Law, and he received awards for excellence in corporations and evidence.  

After graduating from law school, he was recognized for his distinguished services as a judicial clerk in the Utah Appellate Court.  Mr. Carnine has prosecuted cases as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the Illinois Department of Transportation.  He is a past president of the Jefferson County Bar Association, a past presenter for the IDC, and an article author for the Illinois Bar Journal.  Visit for more information.
