Sharon A. Christie is an attorney and nurse...an advocate for the disabled in obtaining Social Security Disability benefits.

 
Sharon worked as a nurse in both acute and long-term care settings prior to attending law school. In 1986, she graduated magna cum laude from The University of Notre Dame Law School. She has practiced law since that time and is licensed in Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Sharon is AV rated, the highest ranking possible in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.  In 2003, Sharon received the Judith P. Ritchey Achievement Award, presented by the Baltimore County Bar Association.  In 2008, she was named a Maryland SuperLawyer in Baltimore Magazine.

Sharon is a frequent lecturer to professional and community groups.  She has given talks on Social Security Disability Law to the Lupus Foundation of America - Delaware-Maryland-Virginia, Brain Injury Association of Maryland, NAMI - Baltimore and the Spondylitis Association.

Sharon lives in Cockeysville, Maryland with her husband, Joe.  She is an avid runner and has completed the Baltimore and Maryland Half Marathons.  Sharon is also an active in the community. A past president of the Executive Women’s Network, she currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Snyder Foundation for Animals, the Brain Injury Associatiobn of maryland, NAMI - Baltimore and the Lupus Foundation of America - DMV.
