Ms. Hughes is an Of Counsel and the Chief Operating Officer of the firm, and member of the firm’s Administrative, Gaming & Government Affairs Department. The focus of Ms. Hughes’ practice is government affairs, regulatory law, entitlement processing on local, county, state and federal levels, and lobbying for clients. Ms. Hughes’ representative clients include LS Power and Unger Development.

Ms. Hughes previously held the position of City Attorney for the City of Henderson, Nevada from 1983-2009. In her 26-year career as City Attorney, she provided legal representation for the mayor and city council, as well as the entire city government of Henderson. She supervised the civil and criminal divisions of the City Attorney's Office, as well as the environmental programs division and office of court programs.
