Biography
Shawn was born in Wyoming and grew up in the mid-West. After graduating cum laude with Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, he moved to Phoenix in 1986. Shawn graduated cum laude from the Arizona State University College of Law in 1989.
cum laude cum laudeShawn’s practice is devoted to representing clients who have been seriously injured through no fault of their own or who have lost loved ones due to the wrongful conduct or negligence of others.
Shawn is a member of several professional trial associations and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a professional organization that recognizes the accomplishments of lawyers who have won multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements for their clients. He served as a Special Olympics volunteer from 1983-1986. Shawn was also a member of the America Bar Association/American Medical Association Alcohol and Drug Abuse Education for Youths from 1992-1993. Shawn has also served on the Board of Directors for New Song, a non-profit organization that helps children deal with grief following the loss of a parent. Shawn has been on the Board of the Phoenix Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates since 2015.
Shawn lives in the Phoenix area and is a frequent speaker at professional seminars, law schools, paralegal associations, and medical schools and associations. He enjoys skiing, hiking, the outdoors and golf.
