Biography
Shengyang WU is a founding member of Alpha Law. His practice focuses on personal injury litigation and investigation involving pedestrian, motor vehicle accidents, construction injuries, premises liability, and actions against municipalities. Mr. Wu also has experience in labor and employment, especially in resolving ERISA liens and claims.
Before founding Alpha Law, Mr. Wu was an of Counsel of Caesar and Napoli, a premium personal injury law firm in Downtown Manhattan, New York. Before joining Caesar and Napoli, Mr. Wu served as a foreign legal consultant for one of the oldest law firms in Shanghai, China, advising European Clients on foreign investment, labor and employment compliance, and FCPA, UK anti-bribery law, and Chinese Anti-Commercial Bribery Laws issues. He has a strong interest in foreign investment, especially with China and the United States.
Mr. Wu received his LL.B degree from the East China University of Political Science and Law (a New York State Bar accredited foreign law school), where he served as a member of the presidency of Law School’s Student Association. Mr. Wu earned his LL.M law degree in the United States from William and Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law in Virginia.
Mr. Wu is admitted to New York State. He is a New York State Bar Association member, New York State Trial Lawyer Association, Co-Chair of Solo and Small Practice Committee of New York County Lawyer Association, and Asian American Bar Association of New York. Mr. Wu is also an active member of his community, offering pro bono legal services. He is a native Chinese Mandarin speaker and fluent in English.
