Biography
After an illustrious career with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, Shirley joined the firm of Piercey & Associates, Ltd. as an associate partner in 2019. In 2012, Shirley left her corporate executive position and entered the field of elder law, where she continues to serve elder clients and their families, and people with disabilities and those who love and care for them. She is frequently appointed as a Guardian ad Litem in Cook County, where she is highly respected for her practical approach to difficult situations and her excellent communication skills
Ms. Ramadani is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, where she has served on the ISBA Military Affairs Committee. Shirley also volunteers with Wills for Heroes for the last ten (10) years. She is a member of the National Academy of Illinois Law Attorneys and is also a member of the Illinois Chapter. During her experience with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, she worked on legislative issues and assisted her company in bringing their insurance products into compliance with the Affordable Care Act.
Ms. Ramadani earned her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from Western Michigan University. Graduating in September of 2007, she admitted to both the Illinois and Federal Bar in May of 2008. Ms. Ramadani is extremely ambitious and has been selected as a frequent speaker and lecturer on elder law topics. She currently serves on the faculty of the National Business Institute for legal educational training for other attorneys and legal professionals. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Alvernia Manor Retirement Community in Lemont, Illinois.
