Shorge K. Sato is an experienced litigator whose practice has touched upon many aspects of the ongoing global financial crisis.  His litigation capabilities are exemplified by the wide variety of litigation roles in which he has served: 

• Crisis Litigation:  Mr. Sato has assisted clients in need of "crisis litigation" services to obtain or respond to injunctive or other provisional, prejudgment relief, or in response to subpoenas issued by the government in federal criminal and civil actions.
   
• Commercial Litigation:  Mr. Sato has represented a wide range of businesses, entities, and individuals in general business litigation and in their defense against class action lawsuits, government investigations, third-party litigation, product liability, and personal injury lawsuits.   
   
• Forensic Litigation:  Mr. Sato has experience with client-driven investigation and litigation of possible instances of internal and external fraud, illegality, business tort, and breach of contract. 
   
  
• Trial & Appellate Litigation:  Mr. Sato has appeared before tribunals across the country on dispositive motions and in trial and trial-like proceedings.  Mr. Sato also has represented clients in state and federal appellate proceedings, and has argued before the Seventh Circuit.
  

Mr. Sato graduated from New York University School of Law in 2002, where he served as an Editor-in-Chief for the Environmental Law Journal.  While in law school, Mr. Sato externed for the Office of the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York and for the New York State Attorney General's Office.   Mr. Sato earned his B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Northwestern University in 1998.  Mr. Sato is admitted to practice in both state and federal courts in Illinois.
