I previously prosecuted DUI and general criminal cases for the City of Ann Arbor.  I have also worked for judges in criminal matters.  I have handled dozens and dozens of jury and non-jury trials since 1987.  I have a strong understanding of how prosecutors, judges and defense attorneys think and make decisions about cases.

My practice focuses on DUI defense although I will also handle general criminal matters.  I handle cases primarily in Washtenaw County but I will go to other counties for the right case and client.  i help my clients feel less stressed as I work with them to resolve their legal and collateral issues in the best way possible.  I listen carefully and let my clients tell their story.  I prefer DUI cases because I am passionate about helping and protecting the rights of clients who may have alcohol or substance abuse issues.

I am an assertive and thorough advocate for my clients.  At the forefront of my mind is finding and executing solutions that are in their best interests.  I spend as much time with my clients as necessary to help them.  I help them find other resources and experts where needed.
