I represent both franchisors and franchisees in franchise disputes.  I also teach Franchise Law as Adjunct Professor at Case Western Reserve Un iuversity Law School.  I often serve as expert witness on franchise law issues, with special emphasis on Ohio's Business Opportunity Act.  I helped form the Committee of the Ohio Bar Association that wrote the 2012 amendments to the Act, and I served on the Committee and testified on the Bill before a Committee of the Ohio House of Representatives.

I prepare FDD's for franchisors, and review FDD's and other franchise documents for would-be franchise buyers.

I've helped dozens of franchisees terminate their franchise, and sometimes received cash settlements for them.  I've also helped franchisees negotiate better renewal contracts, and helped resolve franchise disputes in cases that did not result in terminations.

I also provide services to franchisee associations.

I was named a Leading Lawyer in Northeast Ohio in the franchise law category by Inside Business magazine for 13 consecutive years ending in 2012, when the magazine stopped publishing.  I've been named a Super Lawyer in Ohio numerous times, including in 2003, and each year from 2013-2019.
