Attorney Bernstein is a native of Middletown and currently lives with her 7 children in the nearby town of Madison, raising them as a single mother. Attorney Bernstein practiced as a solo practitioner for several years until 2014 when she joined the Balaban Law Firm, where she worked until opening her own law firm in February of 2019. 

Attorney Berstein's work concentrates on the areas of family law, personal injury (including reproductive rights and related issues), civil litigation, real estate and criminal law. She has a broad depth of knowledge and brings and unassuming personal touch to every case she handles. 

Stephanie is an active member of her community, participating in the following roles and activities:

• Coach for Madison Recreational Soccer (2000-2017)
• Foster Volunteer for Connecticut Humane Society (2006-Present)
• Member of the local USTA Tennis Team
• Participant in local road races
