Served on City of Southlake Planning and Zoning Commission in late 1980's, elected to Carroll ISD Board of Trustees, 1991-2000, serving as Board President during last 3 years. Charter member of Carroll Education Foundation, Teen Court.

Married 44 years to Ann, 2 children Stephanie and John, both Carroll ISD and OU great grandchildren. 

Currently serving as Board Member for Bob Jones Nature Center in Southlake, Tx.
