Steve has been with the Van Winkle Law Firm since moving to Asheville in 1992. He currently serves as President of the Van Winkle Law Firm.  Steve's practice involves resolving disputes in a number of areas.  His caseload includes business disputes and matters in North Carolina's Business Court, will contests, trust and estate litigation and disputes, personal injury and wrongful death claims as well as claims related to fiduciary services. Steve is a certified mediator for Superior Court proceedings in North Carolina as well as for proceedings before Clerks of Court in North Carolina and mediates a wide variety of cases.  Steve serves as a member of arbitration panels and has also been trained in collaborative law, another form of alternative dispute resolution.
