A native of Northern Virginia, Steve Duckett graduated from the University of Richmond with a Political Science and Economics degree in 1994, and graduated with a Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana.

Steve has been practicing criminal defense law in Northern Virginia since 1997. Admitted to all courts in Virginia, Steve has experience in the Virginia Court of Appeals, US District Court, and Circuit/General District courts all over Virginia. Clients have included CEO's, professional athletes, White House staff, and many other clients with a lot to lose. Steve is widely regarded among peers -- including members of prosecution and the bench -- for professional discretion and aggressive, creative trial techniques. Steve has tried numerous unusual and complex cases throughout his career. He has produced lecture outlines for CLE courses, and is frequently consulted by other attorneys for assistance on cases.
