Steven N. Jones was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He is a graduate of Cornell University Law School. Mr. Jones began his legal career as a staff attorney for the Honorable Michael D. Johnson with the Fulton County Superior Court, Atlanta Judicial Circuit. As a Staff Attorney he was responsible for handling Judge Johnson’s entire civil docket. Mr. Jones continued his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney with the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, Atlanta Judicial Circuit. He handled over two hundred felony cases and was recognized as the Non-Complex Trial Attorney of the Year. Mr. Jones was promoted to the Community Prosecution Unit as the Police Zone 1 Community Prosecutor. As a result of a dedicated work ethic and drive, he was appointed to the position of Director of the Community Prosecution Unit. In this capacity, he oversaw all of the police zones in Atlanta as well as supervised the seven other Community Prosecutors responsible for each zone. As a result of his performance, District Attorney Paul L. Howard Jr. recognized him as the Community Prosecutor of the Year.
