Biography
Steve Edmiston has over 30 years of expertise in entertainment,intellectual property, licensing, start-ups and business law, and litigation. He is rated "AV Preeminent" (highest ranking) by Martindale Hubble, and is ranked as an "2024 Lawyergist Rated Top Lawyer."
He has frequently walked in his client's shoes. As a screenwriter and producer. His credited features as include "Crimes of the Past," distributed by MarVista Entertainment; "A Relative Thing," distributed by Spiritual Cinema Circle and Official Best of Fest; "Farewell to Harry," is distributed by Porchlight Entertainment and Questar; and "The Periphery Project," distributed by IndieFlix. Steve has also written and produced many award winning short films including "The Maury Island Incident," "Reinventing the Patriot," "The Day My Parents Became Cool," and "Thr33." Steve has taught both screenwriting and producing at Seattle University, the Seattle Film Institute and the University of Washington.
As an entrepreneur, Steve was co-founder and president of Front Porch Classics, and the creator of classic “coffee table games” including Family Fun Toy of the Year winner Dread Pirate, and other multi-award winning games including Raceway 57, Stretch Run, Master & Commander. Steve managed the Company's IP portfolio including Sony's Game Show Television Network, Major League Baseball and 20th Century Fox.

Steve is a frequent public speaker on quirky history, film, entrepreneurship, entertainment, and legal topics. He was recently appointed - for the second time - to a two year term on the Humanities Washington Speaker's Bureau.
