Biography
Tate Justesen has worked in family law for many years, and is based in Multnomah County, where he gained valuable experience in the practice of family law and clients' needs, including issues such as divorce/separation, custody, parenting time, spousal support and assets division.
While he is based in Multnomah County, Tate handles cases in multiple counties throughout Oregon, including Washington and Clackamas Counties. Tate also has experience in environmental law issues from his work on federal grazing rights issues for the Western Resources Legal Center.
Originally from rural Central Oregon (near the rafting & fishing town of Maupin), Tate has a great appreciation for the outdoors. Tate has participated in the Clackamas River Clean-Up (Down the River Clean-up), an activity that gives back to the community through trash clean-up on a stretch of river heavily used by the Portland-Metro community. Tate is a graduate of the Ford Foundation community leadership program and was involved in restoration efforts at the Sherman County, Oregon fairgrounds, in addition to community leadership training. Tate has found a way to combine his devotion to community service with his love of the outdoors by participating as a volunteer whitewater raft guide during the Splash For Pink breast cancer fundraiser in Maupin, Oregon (held annually in June). Tate has participated in the Hood to Coast race and looks forward to continuing his involvement in other community running events, such as the Gorgeous Relay.
