I was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska.  I am an outdoorsman, licenced private pilot, certified scuba diver, and firearms instructor.

After obtaining an undergraduate degree in History, with a minor in Speech, and obtaining my law school JD degree, I began private practice in my hometown. I worked as an attorney for the Fairbanks North Star Borough, where I became experienced in Municipal Law, Land Use Law, Bankruptcy, trial and appellate practice.

My family and I moved to Northern Florida in 2004. I practiced federal law (bankruptcy) in Florida, worked for a law firm engaged primarily in real estate foreclosure work from 2011 to 2015 and was admitted to the Florida bar in 2016.
