His diverse litigation experience includes practice in both state and federal trial and appellate court. Over the course of his practice, he has handled all types of cases, including those involving motor vehicle crashes, premises liability, and wrongful death.

Prior to joining Bergquist Law Firm, Mr. McGovern attended South Texas College of Law Houston, where he graduated in the top third of his class, became a varsity advocate, a member of the law review, and an officer for the Board of Advocates. During this time, he also honed his lawyering skills and interned at the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, the First Court of Appeals of Texas, and several litigation firms.

Mr. McGovern is uniquely qualified to provide bilingual services. Mr. McGovern was raised bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish, offering full service in both languages. He not only understands the English and Spanish languages, but both cultures as well.
