Tessa R. DeVault, Esq., is a civil litigator specializing in construction defects, mechanic's lien, contract drafting and disputes, and landlord/tenant law. Tessa graduated from Colorado Law, clerked for the Honorable Patrick T. Murphy, Chief Judge of the 17th Judicial District, and operates out of Johnson Law's Avon office where she calls the beautiful Vail Valley home. Tessa represents clients in all stages of a case, including pre-suit negotiations, drafting pleadings, taking and defending depositions, briefing, jury trials, arbitration, and appeals. She also works on the transactional side of contracts by drafting, revising and negotiating them as well as litigating contract disputes. Prior to litigation, Tessa worked as in-house counsel for a large Colorado subcontractor where she drafted and negotiated construction contracts.
