Ted Weiss is an associate in Glaser Weil’s Environmental and Energy Department, where he focuses on environmental litigation, transactional, and regulatory matters.

Mr. Weiss has an extensive background in the environmental industry. Prior to joining Glaser Weil, Mr. Weiss was an environmental insurance underwriter for American International Group (AIG). In this position, Mr. Weiss worked alongside AIG attorneys to draft environmental insurance contracts and agreements, support claims litigation activities, and negotiate insurance policy language.

Mr. Weiss also has extensive government and regulatory experience, having clerked for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region VII Office of Regional Counsel during law school and in private industry as an environmental consultant. In these capacities, Mr. Weiss evaluated compliance and enforcement with all manner of federal and state environmental law including the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Clean Water Act (CWA), the Clean Air Act (CAA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).     

Mr. Weiss received his law degree, cum laude, from University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law, where he served as a senior member and contributing writer of the Law Review. Mr. Weiss also achieved an emphasis in Urban, Land Use and Environmental Law. Mr. Weiss received his bachelor’s degree in environmental management from Indiana University, and was a member of Zeta Beta Tau.
