For over 40 years, Tom has emphasized a practice focused on issues relating to the business community, and in particular matters relating to real estate, environmental law and transactions. Tom can provide representation on any matter, irrespective of the size or complexity. Tom has a reputation among his clients for always being available and providing timely and accurate responses. Tom has the highest rating afforded by his peers, the coveted Martindale Hubbell AV rating, and has been recognized for his work as a mediator by the Court of Appeals. His many community activities include serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the Riverside Lincoln Club, Orange Empire Railway Museum, Heber Valley Railroad, Happy Trails Children’s Foundation and Utah Symphony/Utah Opera. Tom has published several legal articles, including the always popular “25 Ways to Avoid a Lawsuit” and a recent article in the California Real Property Journal on Purchase Money and the Anti-Deficiency Laws. He is a frequent instructor on real estate law and certified to teach continuing education classes in real estate related subjects in Utah. During his career as an attorney, Tom has handled several large and complex matters, including serving as lead counsel on the Newmark Superfund Site litigation, West Valley Landfill litigation, California Desert Conservation Area Litigation and other major legal matters. Tom is admitted to practice in Utah, California and Texas.
