I practice exclusively in Intellectual Property (IP) law -- counseling, management, rendering opinions, training in preparing & prosecuting patent applications, as well as prosecuting electrical, software, electro-mechanical, and mechanical patent applications.   Law degree in '93 from Marquette (Law Review).  EE in '89 from UW-M (honors).

I am registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Prior to forming ZPS in 2002, I practiced IP law at a number of downtown firms but was first introduced to a career in IP as an engineer at Caterpillar back in 1989.  I have worked with the firm's clients for many years to form close business to law school, I worked was an electrical and software engineer at Eaton and Caterpillar.   

ZPS specializes in flat fees and providing cost effective service to its customers. The office uses a paperless filing system and virtually all filings and communication are done electronically.

I was on the executive board of IEEE Milwaukee, and served as the Secretary, Vice-Chairperson/Program Chair, and Chairperson.  I have lectured at IEEE on IP Law and served as Chair and co-Chair of the IP Section of the Milwaukee Bar Association.   I frequently lecture at the Milwaukee School of Engineering on patent, trademark, and copyright law.
