Tim's professional focus is to utilize his legal knowledge and skills to be of service to others. With a B.A. and J.D. from Loyola University Chicago, Tim worked for a small law firm for three years prior to establishing Third Coast Planning. He has also volunteered for various causes and organizations he cares about, from sitting on nonprofit boards to helping set up estate plans for Chicago police and firefighters. He is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Michigan, and also blogs about various aspects of estate planning.

A native Detroiter, Tim now splits his time between Detroit and Chicago with his wife, Nishaat. He plays jazz guitar professionally, dabbles in woodworking, photography, and enjoys learning about history, studying the French language, and mixing cocktails. Tim and Nishaat enjoy cooking and travelling together and have a deep love for the state of Michigan.
