Tim Lewis was raised outside of St. Louis, Missouri in a rural, farming community. He moved to greener pastures and went to law school at Wake Forest University School of Law in Winston Salem, North Carolina. After graduation, Tim moved to Western North Carolina while working for an immigration firm. Tim worked with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and the newly started Legal Assistance Office. He then established Lewis Law Firm with a commitment to helping the local community, including Waynesville, Sylva, Bryson City, Asheville, and Cherokee.

Tim enjoys hiking the numerous trails in Western North Carolina, weightlifting, boxing, and spending quality time with his doggo, Freya
