Tyler is a graduate of the University of Oregon and earned a Juris Doctorate from Willamette University College of Law in Salem, Oregon. He started Tyler Smith and Associates in 2007.  Our firm focuses on serving every business related need our clients may have.  Sometimes it is creating a company, setting up documents, filings, contracts and employment practices, then helping out if collections, contract disputes or litigation arises.  Many of our clients come back to us over and over again throughout the lifecycle of their business from formation to sale or retirement. Many of our clients are major stories on the news in constitutional law, administrative law, novel contract and litigation issues and major real property cases.  Many of our cases create new law or establish major precedents. We handle real estate, estate planning, licensing disputes, and more.  In his prior career building business start-up teams, Tyler established himself as one of the most successful and respected Silicon Valley headhunters.  This gives him a strong background in business, sales, and company start up that adds to his areas of knowledge enabling him to advise business owners. 

Tyler is a former Army Combat Engineer and attended the Oregon Military Academy.  He is often asked to give speeches, comments, or represent parties in high profile political and controversial issues, and his cases have been on many major new outlets including USA Today, FoxNews, KATU, and more.  He is also often asked to organize and plan strategy for large public policy or political campaigns.
