Vanessa is a partner at Edelstein & Payne. Vanessa represents private and public sector (federal, state and local) employees in all types of work related matters including workers' compensation claims, employment discrimination and retaliation, unemployment benefits, whistleblowing and wrongful discharge. Vanessa also practices in the area of Social Security disability helping claimants with obtaining benefits, as well as with overpayment issues. Vanessa has litigation experience in the North Carolina State and Federal Courts, as well as various administrative venues such as the NC Office of Administrative Hearings, NC Industrial Commission, and Equal Opportunity Employment Commission. Vanessa is licensed in North Carolina and California.
