I am an experienced trial lawyer (both bench and jury trials,) and received the AM JUR AWARD in Torts as well as the CORPUS JURIS SECONDUM AWARD at UWLA. I was also awarded TOP WOMEN ATTORNEYS BY LOS ANGELES MAGAZINE in 2013. As an aggressive lawyer I have earned other awards such as SUPER LAWYERS RISING STARS after prevailing in 11 jury trials in just two years practicing criminal defense at Compton between 2009-2011. I went on to practice criminal defense n Torrance, Van Nuys and the Criminal Courts Building where i also had presitigous results. After 17 years in criminal law, I went back to my roots in Personal Injury, Civil law. It is with pride that a say as a woman, I don't work with emotion, but with passion for law and motion, bench and jury trials, and primarily helping others. I am not afraid to face the challenges that every case brings, and to stay on top of my caseload. A few of my civil law experiences are: John Ye, APLC, where I inherited a colleague's caseload, due to him having cancer. According to my boss at the time, I cleaned house and he liked my moxy! I settled between 47 and 54 cases in six months. I am currently at BD&J where I find the pace to be my speed, which is intense, and fiery litigation. The daughter of two Stanford graduates, I bring with me book smarts and street smarts and find joy in the small victories as well as the big. One of my favorite quotes is:' A good lawyer knows the law, A great lawyer knows the judge." My father was a competative swimmer as well as a DJ in the 60's and I have definitely inherited those characteristics which I bring with me into the practice of law. I worked as an intern as a law clerk to Anthony J. Mohr during my last year of law school and I volunteer as a judge every year for The American Mock Trial Association. I look forward to winning more awards and trials and cases, and am not planning on retiring anytime soon!
